French Bistro Favorites
French Bistro Favorites at Home Cooking NY was a great class. The instructor, John, was very clear and explained what he was doing and why he was doing it very well. He was very patient with everyone in the class and always asked for and answered questions. The kitchen space we were in was incredibly nice and there was sufficient room for 10 of us around the work area. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend classes there.

Food 101: What to Eat & How to Shop
The course was great! I learned a lot and would recommend the class to a friend. Jennifer Clair is really knowledgeable, friendly, and altogether a great instructor. I'd like to consider taking one of their cooking classes in the future.

A Taste of Greece
This is the second course I've taken with Carl and he is great. While I enjoyed the course tremendously I wasn't as fussed about the menu as I was when I took the Thai class. But that's just personal preference. Food aside, the course was fun and I learned how to cut up a whole chicken which was worth it alone. The Taste at Home Courses are held in a gorgeous loft style apt in Chelsea. Also- you are free to bring a bottle of wine and drink while cooking if that is your thing. After cooking you sit down to an enjoy a pretty huge meal and everything is top notch quality.

Understanding Thai Food
I loved Understanding Thai Food. Carl is a fun and fabulous teacher. He he puts everything in context of a bigger picture- whether it's sharing a tidbit on the history/ geography or comparing how an ingredient is used differently depending on the country. I walked away with better knife skills and great tips that apply to cooking overall. The Taste at Home Courses are held in a gorgeous loft style apt in Chelsea. Also- you are free to bring a bottle of wine and drink while cooking if that is your thing. The whole experience inspired me to want to do even more cooking a home (which I already love to do.) At first I thought the price was a little high but after taking the course I realized what a great value it actually is. After cooking you sit down to an enjoy a pretty huge meal and everything is top notch quality. Definitely recommend!

French Bistro Favorites
I would recommend this course to those just starting to learn how to cook. It was a good, very basic lesson from an instructor that's worked in commercial kitchens. The food was very tasty though and I'll make several of his dishes again. My biggest disappointment was that he did not make one of the dishes that was advertised - the potato and fennel gratin which I was looking forward to. The space was nice and filled with light with room for the 11 of us taking the class.

How to Cook Fish
I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a night out with their significant other. The chef was great and the food we cooked was even better. Me and my fiance` loved this class and learned a lot of good tips when cooking. Bring a bottle of wine, relax, cook, eat and learn, doesn't get any better.

Learning the Basics: Part I
I would recommend this because I enjoyed the group of people I met and the instructors were engaging and passionate in their teaching. The recipes were also very tasty! However if you are looking for direct instruction on the absolute basics of cooking than this may not be for you. If you miss a class, the instructor is more than happy to email you the recipes/notes from that week which is helpful.
