What’s in that Bag? is a competitive cooking class in which you will be provided with a mystery bag of ingredients that must be turned into a tasty dish in under 2 hours. Toss your chef hat in the ring and compete for the ultimate title of Asphalt Green Executive Chef and prizes. Do you have what it takes?
Refund & Cancellation PolicyThe program refund schedule is as follows: 100% refund for 1 week notification prior to the first scheduled class. 75% refund for 2 days notification prior to the second scheduled class.
No refunds or credits will be granted for the Tuesdays talks series. No refunds or credits will be granted after the second scheduled class session. All our programs are subject to change or cancellation. We cannot be responsible for providing make-ups, credits, or issuing refunds for programs missed as a result of illness, emergencies, or other events beyond the control of Asphalt Green.
The handling charge for all requested refunds is $15. Please allow four to six weeks from receipt for processing a refund request. Registration handling fees are not refundable.
Teacher: Carey Nava
Carey Nava served as an apprentice in the kitchen to her chef father as well as a personal chef to her single mother. She has worked in numerous food establishments in New York, Seattle and Boston, handling a wide variety of jobs such as sauté chef and expediting. Carey has also worked in NYC as a private chef and has taught cooking classes to kids and young professionals. She is now embracing the opportunity to work as the Culinary Education Director with Great Performances at Asphalt Green’s Culinary Center in Battery Park City.
