Description
What you'll learn in this adobe class:
Learn FrameMaker to author and publish long technical documents with enterprise-class tools with advanced features that make complicated layouts and page numbering simple.
This FrameMaker course introduces the program as a word processing application with muscle. Create flowing text documents using reusable master pages, paragraph, table and character styles. Export pristine PDF documents that are ready for print.
Your instructor will cover the pitfalls, and the best practices will be followed so that you are creating and exporting FrameMaker documents the right way in this Adobe FrameMaker training. Existing technical document editors will also benefit from a basic difference overview of FrameMaker vs. InDesign.
This course is a Frame Maker unstructured training that is applicable to FrameMaker 11, FrameMaker 12, FrameMaker 2015 FrameMaker 2017 and FrameMaker 2019 versions. This means that the advanced XML structured features are not covered.
Course Outline
- Get comfortable with the interface and workspaces
- Learn about technical document publishing practices and nomenclature
- Work with the Paragraph and Character Designers to create formats
- Utilize Master pages to create different layouts
- Incorporate basic variables for page headers/footers and titles
- Learn to create custom bullets and basic numbering systems
- Incorporate graphics that include inline graphics
- Utilize tables and formatting methods
- Create custom colors and technical document design
- Explore the different export options for print

Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
All fees, payments, and funds applied toward a training service agreement with Lumenbrite training are nonrefundable to the participants, clients, or trainees stated under these terms and conditions of this legal binding document. This includes any commitment including a verbal or written promise such as this registration. It is the student's responsibility to attend the class they are registered for.
However, all students may reschedule up to 10 business days prior to the scheduled training with LUMENBRITE TRAINING and apply any payment, funds, or purchase orders, already invested in a training agreement toward a future training offered by the center. Included in the price of each individual training seat, is a $150.00 nonrefundable administrative fee.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
