In this class, we explore short guided meditations, art exercises, reflections, and discussions to establish authentic connections to our creative selves. Using simple materials, we approach art making as a process-based contemplative practice – building and experiencing an awareness of our natural curiosity and creativity. We will also explore how our minds and perceptions operate, how to move through creative blocks, and how to use creativity as a mode for stress reduction.
Open inquiry, playfulness, and discovery are at the heart of this approach. Guided experiences are emphasized over technical instruction and innate skill, as we seek the deep understanding that comes through doing.
No experience with art making or meditation is required.
Adventurers at all levels are welcome.
Stay curious.
Stay compassionate.
Find the treasures.
