What you'll learn in this handbuilding class:

This is a hand building course using slabs of porcelain to build jewelry.

Workshop participants will make at 5 pairs of earrings and 5 brooch, lapel pins, backpack pins or hat pins (5 pieces total) and 1 accessory dish / Mug that will be finished with glaze. The items can be picked up 2-3 weeks after the workshop.

The workshop is 3 hours and is a beginner level class with no previous experience required.

Fee is per person, and includes clay, tools, aprons, glaze, and firing.

It was such a fun way to spend a Saturday. I wish it had been a little longer in order for me to have been more playful with designing the ceramics, but it was great and the instructor was delightful. Take the Ferry to greenpoint and go!
