What you'll learn in this embroidery class:

Embroidery has a variety of applications, from customizing clothes to creating your own artwork. This class will take you through eight different stitches.

With knots, edging, and basics, you will leave with a finished sampler of all you learned in class as well as the tools to continue further.

All materials provided; no experience necessary.

Still have questions? Ask the community.

If you're looking for a refund or class credit, you need to back out of the class a full week before it starts. (No exceptions!) We know it's draconian, but since we aren't charging an arm and a leg and have to buy all our materials in advance, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings.

We also can't transfer registrations to a future session of the class. Sorry!

Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around and see if any of your friends want the spot. We can't give you a refund less than a week out, even if there's a wait list for the class.

Regarding bad weather, we generally only cancel classes if the subway system stops running. If traveling during snowstorms might be an issue for you, please take this into account before registering for a class.

Question from kelly p.
Do we have to bring our own materials?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse Staff
Hello there, Kelly! No need to bring your own materials, everything you need is provided by Brooklyn Brainery, all you need to do is show up to class and learn. Hope this helps!
Question from Lucille
Hi - does the class include the hoop/needle tools that we can go home with or do we have to purchase on our own after? Thanks!
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse Staff
Hi Lucille! The students get to keep the hoop! The instructor usually keeps the needles for future classes, but it's fine if the students want to hang onto it. They don't sell supplies so there is no need to purchase anything. Thanks!

This class was a great intro to embroidery! It was super chill with not too many people. They broke down each type of stitch and gave a lot of individualized instruction to those of us who needed it, which I really appreciated.
