What you'll learn in this baking class:

This specific course is carefully developed to introduce and enhance overall skills and knowledge in all areas of baking and decorating.

Piping Techniques I: 
Borders and Shells In this two hour class the students will learn all the technical aspects of  cake decorating techniques. Such is the correct use of the pastry bag, and different tips to create star borders, shell borders, rosette borders, zigzags borders, inverse borders and braided borders.

Piping Techniques II: 
Garland Designs, Writing Techniques and Rose Piping. In this class the students will learn  the correct use of the pastry bag and tips to create  lettering, bead, roses and ruffles.

Spatula Techniques:
In this two hour class, you’ll learn how to use of the spatula to apply icing on your cakes. Also how get your cakes even and smooth using different tools. You’ll also learn all about leveling, filling, crumb coating and correct use of the pastry bag to created different designs. Students will decorate a 6” cake to take home.

Cupcake Workshop:
This course features baking and cupcakes decorating using professional methods and techniques. Such as buttercream making, the correct use of the spatula to cover a cake and get your icing smooth. Also how to create buttercream, fondant and gum paste designs.

Cakes, Buttercream Icing:
In this two hour demonstration, You’ll learn all the technical aspects of baking, right ingredients temperature, measuring dry and liquid ingredients. Students will also learn how to elaborate a very moist vanilla cake, cupcakes, blackout chocolate cake, a delicious vanilla buttercream, chocolate  and mocha filling.

Refund Policy

In order to receive a refund, a 11 business days withdrawal notice is required. If a class is dropped 4-10 business days prior to the class start date, only class credit will be issued.

Please note a transaction fee will be deducted from the refund for each class that is canceled based on the following scale:

  • Classes up to $125 will incur a $20 fee
  • Classes in the $150-$350 range will incur a $30 fee
  • Classes valued over $350 will incur a $50 fee

Rescheduling a class still entails a cancellation and, therefore, a transaction fee will still be charged to students.

Absolutely no refunds or credits will be issued for a cancellation notice fewer than 3 business days from the class start date.

We reserve the right to cancel any class that fails to attract sufficient enrollment. In case of cancellation, all students will be notified and a full refund will be given.

The school maintains the right to deny student registration and/or entrance if more than 20 minutes late.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    The course is not what I expected. The class teach us how to use the pipping. He don't give any recipes. How can I do my own pipping if I don't have the recipes. A solution: you have to buy from his store upstairs. Or better going YouTube and find the recipes there. For two weeks we have the same class using the same pipping. My expectation and program described when you sign in for the class is to have different class every week. I don't recommend!!!!

Hi there! The students will be split into groups and they will be putting all the ingredients together. They will not physically put the batter in the oven but they will be baking their cake. In the past, the class is for two hours per week for 5 weeks. Hope this helps!
