What you'll learn in this wine class:

Believe it or not, wine doesn’t have to be unapproachable, and you don’t have to know everything about it to enjoy it OR to start studying it. In this introductory class, we explore the basics of wine, to help you establish a better foundation for future wine knowledge.

Join us as we taste through our favorite varietals to explore a range of wine regions, and styles. Topics include: wine storage; decanting; how climate affects wine; the elements of wine; common grape varietals and wine regions; wine production; serving wine; wine and food pairings… and more!  Whether you’re a wine novice or a wine aficionado, this class is the perfect introductory and refresher course for any wine lover.

Once your class session has ended, we'd love for you to stay and dine afterwards! All class attendees will receive 10% off their meal.

Last night's Wine 101 class at Corkbuzz Wine Bar and Restaurant was the most engaging and informative 90 minutes I've ever paid for! Money well spent! I realized within the first 10 minutes that one can't really learn about wine without delving into the worlds of History, Geography, Chemistry, Botany, etc., which made this intro even more exciting. The bar's Somellier, Jake, broke down this otherwise intimidating labyrinth of a topic with humor, humility, passion, and a quick wit, while encouraging us to share our personal impressions and descriptions of the evening's featured wines. (Wines which were served with rustic bread, dried fruit, cheeses, and their house-made Ricotta). Thanks, Jake and Corkbuzz! You exceeded my expectations! See you again! Daniela
