We offer an alternative to highly organized environments by removing many of the barriers to self-directed play.
Kids spend their whole school year being told what to do all day. Let their summer be a true reset, a time to rest, play and create, free from adult-imposed agendas.
Each week at Lively Village camp includes massive amounts of park time with planned art- and nature -based projects sprinkled throughout, but kids are always free to opt-out of these and work on their own creations. They can also choose to relax with smaller activities like reading, knitting, drawing, dramatic play, cards, crafting, board games, or just kicking back and daydreaming.
In our camp we value self-direction, creative expression, free play, and community building.
