What you'll learn in this kids camp:
The Fashion Class is a fashion-program that teaches teens sewing, draping, marketing and merchandising all throughout the school year and summer. We have our own loft style studio featuring a sewing room, art room, two bathrooms and lunch room. Our camp instructors are graduates of fashion and art programs at some of the best fashion schools in the world, like Parsons the New School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Our fashion camp is for serious fashionistas who want to make their designs and dreams a reality! Perfect for beginners and advanced sewers and those looking to build a portfolio for school admissions.
Join us as we sew, drape, shop at Mood Designer Fabrics and go on amazing trips to meet real fashion industry pros! (Our past trips have included Marchesa, Nicole Miller, People's Style Watch magazine, Accessories the Show and more.)
Campers also explore the business side of fashion with a trade-show trip to see the real back-and-forth between designers and store-buyers plus visits to our favorite supply stores in the Garment Center. Finally our camp wouldn’t be complete without a 'lil inspiration, campers will visit the Museum at FIT to view their latest fashion exhibit.
Each day will involve sewing in our fully equipped studio, fashion design & illustration plus a field trip or guest speaker to give insight into this fabulous industry. Our teen designers get to choose their own fabric from Mood Fabric Store (featured on Project Runway) on the first day of camp. All fabric, trip and supply costs are included in the camp fee.

Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows:
Cancellations made 3 or more days in advance will receive a full credit for a rescheduled date with this provider

Classes & Workshops
Your child's registration can be transferred to another class time or day with one week notice (based on availability). Should you need to cancel your child's registration for any reason one week prior to the start date of the class The Fashion Class will process a refund (less the non-refundable 30% deposit and CourseHorse fees) within 10 business days. Cancellations made with less than 1-week notice will forfeit the class fee.
Camps
Your child's registration can be transferred to another class time or day with three weeks notice (based on availability). Deposits/payment cannot be transferred to another student. Should you need to cancel your child's registration for any reason one month prior to the start date of camp The Fashion Class will process a refund (less the non-refundable deposit and CourseHorse fees) within 10 business days.
o 15-30 days until the session start date, 50% refund
o 2 weeks prior to start of camp session, 25% refund
