Healing with Hemp: Creating Your Own CBD Skincare

This is a brand new workshop guided by the powerful spirit energy of the hemp plant. In this hands-on class, students will learn to make all-natural skincare products with the many healing properties of cannabidiol (CBD) oil. Students will take home three, full-size samples from what we make in class.

We will discuss the topical, therapeutic benefits of CBD oil. Not all CBD oils are created equal. Students will learn what to take into consideration when purchasing, extraction methods and which is best, cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, as well as where to buy quality, organic oil (and suggested testing from your supplier), usage rates, and how to compare products and sources. We will also address which plant carrier oils work well to extend the shelf life of CBD oil.

CBD-oil beauty products have been making their debut into the indie beauty market for several years. We will discuss what to consider before adding it to your indie beauty business skincare line. Extensive research is imperative before jumping on the CBD-oil beauty trend train, and this class will give you a foundation as you continue your ongoing research, education and formulation.

This workshop is intended for all levels. No prior experience making skincare products is required. It is perfect for holistic healing practitioners, healers, massage therapists, indie beauty business entrepreneurs and anyone looking to make skincare products for themselves, family and friends or to potentially sell.
