What you'll learn in this natural medicine class:

This practical series will teach the basics of how herbs can support your health and give you the opportunity to make your own in class remedies for your home apothecary. We'll cover everything from teas and tinctures to topical treatments including balms and poultices, amongst others.

Herbalism is the oldest form of medicine and every culture has its version, join us to see how you can incorporate botanical remedies into your daily life using a traditional approach.

In our next session, explore the diverse remedies that can be made using herbs infused in vinegar and syrups. Vinegars are used by herbalists for face and body care, as well as culinary and medicinal preparations. Syrups are perfect for tasty, alcohol-free, kid-friendly remedies for in-the-moment relief. Discover the herbs that are best suited to these forms of extraction and learn creative ways of using them.

We'll make two take-home remedies in this class.

Refund Policy

Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows:

I'm currently offering credits for any cancellations made seven days or fewer to a class starting. I can't afford to do cash refunds right now, but credits are fine if the spot is canceled any time before the start date (even if less than 72 hours). Spots that are canceled more than seven days before the class starts are eligible for cash refunds.

Original cancellation policy (non-COVID-19):

If you're looking for a refund or class credit, you need to back out of the class a full week before it starts. (No exceptions!) We know it's draconian, but since we aren't charging an arm and a leg and have to buy all our materials in advance, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings.

We also can't transfer registrations to a future session of the class. Sorry!

Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around and see if any of your friends want the spot. We can't give you a refund less than a week out, even if there's a wait list for the class.

Regarding bad weather, we generally only cancel classes if the subway system stops running. If traveling during snowstorms might be an issue for you, please take this into account before registering for a class.
