A sketch comedy writing workshop, focusing on the history, elements, structure, and forms. Comedy writing tools, techniques, and exercises will be introduced. Students will write original comedy sketches every week both in class and out and workshop them in a supportive class environment. Additional topics will include tools for eliminating writer’s block, using improv to enhance the creative process, punching up sketches with a writer’s roundtable, and producing sketches for video and the web.
All payments are non-refundable (unless the school cancels the class).
Commitment is for the duration of the session. There are no credits or refunds for individual missed classes. If you discontinue any class before the ending date of the session, you forfeit your fee.
A student may not transfer to a different class once a class has begun.
The school reserve the right to change teachers at any time.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
