Megan Isaacs is a brilliant and patient teacher. She clearly explains each objective, demonstrates how it's done then personally guides you through each step. She always makes sure that the students are hands on with all tools and materials. She deals with any student error patiently and professionally.
The result? A perfect sterling silver ring that my wife shows off to everyone. Nobody believes that I did it all on my own- but I did with Megan's expert guidance.

This was a great intro to jewelry. The class made band rings, with the option to add a hammered texture. The teacher Megan was incredibly helpful and warm. I would recommend this class to anyone who is new to jewelry making!! THANKS MEGAN!!

This class was great! I had so much fun. The instructor Megan was very easy to follow and her explanations while doing each step were very detailed and instructional. I would definitely take other classes she may teach.

Loved it soo much and learned so much and I will defenitly be taking another class. Instructor Megan was the best

This class was everything I had hoped for. Megan was a great instructor, and was really attentive to the goals of each student. She helped us figure out what we could accomplish in three hours, and gave us resources to realize our "stretch goals" in the future if they weren't within the scope of the class.
The small class size was a huge benefit, so we had time to make a second ring or embellish our first. Even though the end products were relatively simple, I feel like I'd be confident using the tools in the future and building on what I learned in this class.

Only 3 people were in the class so it was very one-on-one with megan which I was hoping for. She was very helpful during the process, and gave us good tips and places to go to continue our metalsmithing journey! Would do again

The instructor was not ready at all. Her demo was ok, but when in help, she ended up just doing it for me. All in all, the experience was good, but because of her lack of being prepared, I feel like we spend most of the class time waiting around. This may have also been due to the fact that there was only one torch, and one hammering station (the tool that shapes the ring in a perfect circle and makes the desired size). Wanted to learn more or have a better use of the class time for what I paid for.

The instructor was FANTASTIC, I learned so much, love the piece I made. Wonderful experience, I would highly recommend to friends.

It was a fun class but I was a little disappointed with a few things. The building is run by a bunch of different artists, so the building doesn't open until the artist gets there. Which isn't much of a problem unless you're a half hour early waiting for someone to come in a sketchy part of town. Which is what I had to do.
The class was fun and pretty small which was nice, but I think the teacher was spread a little too thin. However, she was very helpful and knowledgeable. Like I mentioned, the studio is used for a bunch of other classes, and I think it lacked resources for jewelry making. There was only one soldering station and there was always a long line. I've been to other classes at jewelry studios in Brooklyn that were much more equipped for accommodating a jewelry class for the same price.
