Great fun!
-
Terry was awesome! We will absolutely be back for more classes! Thanks again!
-
Amazing class!
-
Daniel took time to help each individual where they were. He made cooking dumplings fun!
-
Initial confusion at venue as to whether class was occurring. Instructions could have been clearer as to whether we could take home leftovers. Food itself was tasty, but we have been to other cooking classes that were more hands on and had more than one course.

-
My wife and I decided to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary taking a dumpling making class for two and we absolutely loved it! Daniel did a great job keeping instructions simple, but at a great pace so it didn’t feel like we were waiting around waiting.
-
Amazing! Our instructor was phenomenal!

We had fun. Made some nice looking dumplings!

Great class that I would recommend to any person who might like to try their hand at decorating cakes. The teacher was great and knowledgeable and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Thank you.

The instructor was very kind but the class started 15 minutes late, then she had us go around and introduce ourselves and give a fruit/vegetable that started with the second letter of our first name (which is absurd).
Felt like Freshman orientation not cake decorating.
Also would've liked to learn more.
But the cake was great and I definitely learned a few things.
-
The pizza Making Class was a fun date night! We really enjoyed ourselves!
-
It was a fun experience, meet new people and have fun while learning how to make pizza. Fun throughout.
-
Good class but seemed long.

Oona was a great teacher. She gave us lots of useful information. I can't wait to make pasta on my own!!

There was no sign to indicate where the class was taking place. It was a confusing start. The instructions were too technical for something that should have been more simple.
There was no way to actually see the demonstration - which was very detail oriented. There should have been an overhead projector for the size of the class - so everyone can see the actual decorating instructions. Then we were rushed to finish the cake and get out of the venue - it was very awkward to have the instructor get into a shouting match with the manager of the space regarding the end point for the class. The entire experience was very unprofessional, unpleasant and not a very informative class. The only take-away I got from this course was that I can go get everything at Michael's. Terrible. I would NOT recommend this class to anyone.

Was such a fun and knowledgeable class! And the chef was great!

Great Lesson. The food was excellent. Love everything about it

Sasha was a terrific teacher and was very thorough. I would recommend this class for anyone who would like to learn to make sushi.
-
Really fun class - took place at a cozy restaurant which was awesome. However, I am rating this a 3 because the course is not what the description said it would be:
"It is made with a variety of doughs, and this class will use a ricotta dough recipe."
No ricotta cheese was used. Misinforming, as I was hoping we would get to use ricotta cheese
"You will get hands-on training on how to mix the dough by hand, form the dough, roll and cook cavatelli, make delicious sauces and enjoy the dish!"
We did not get any training on how to make the sauces. They just took our rolled dough and put on pesto - we did not make the pesto or learn how to make it.
-
The Instructor was wonderful! The tools provided and direction given were perfect. My only complaint was the description suggested that there would be drinks or wine. It turns out this class didn't provide that because it's location was not in a bar/restaurant. It wasn't a deal breaker for me in any way, I would have just like to have known... or at least it should not have been advertised as such.

Really enjoyed this class! The set up of the class was not ideal for me though. All instructions were cued verbally And we weren't able to watch the instructor first before trying the techniques on our own. While the teacher was clear with verbal cues, and did come around table to table if requested, it was occasionally hard to follow as I'm a visual learner.
I also felt like there wasn't enough icing to go around and we ended up not having quite enough to decorate our final cakes with. It would have been nice to have some additional options to decorate our cake with at the end (i.e. Other icing colors, sprinkles, etc)
Otherwise, I took home some useful techniques, a yummy cake and for the price, it was a fun time!

Sasha was an informative and friendly instructor!
I enjoyed her walking us through the process and then allowing us time to mirror what she had just done, great first impression of the Course Horse offering.

The class is not a class on making dumplings, instead it is a class on how to wrap gyoza and wontons. You are not responsible for cooking the dumplings or making the filling and the dough they use for the dumplings are store-bought wontons. The class' dumpling recipe was not authentic in respect to any culture, but instead some random asian-fusion. The teacher was german and had little culinary knowledge (she couldn't answer the question, "why do you rest the dough"). This class was also held in the back of an irish bar in midtown, so the general atmosphere was rowdy. I wish I had read some reviews before attending, but I don't think I will be going again to another "Cocusocial" class.

For a beginner's class, it was OK. The room/tables were crowded. A few things that didn't seem sanitary were sharing vegetables with everyone (so everyone's hands were touching the vegetables you were using to roll your sushi and eat) and there was a shared water bowl to wash your hands. The teacher mentioned that she'd send the recipe for how to create the sushi rice and never did.

It was a really fun experience with great people. The chef was very friendly. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
-
The instructor was very knowledgeable and patient with everyone!
-
Great idea for a date or girls night out! Instructor is awesome and very helpful!
-
Instructor was great! Class was very fun and useful. Would have loved it to be in an actual professional kitchen and to wear aprons to get the full experience.
-
-
Phenomenal. thank you so much for helping me finally figure out how to beautifully decorate cakes!
-
It was a really nice time! The instructor was very knowledgeable and patient with everyone. It's a little dark but def adds to the ambiance.
-
Was awesome ! The chef was amazing ! Really fun, easy and interactive . Looking forward to doing it again with a different dish
-
We attended our first class and had a great time. My friend and I were sitting with another pair of friends. The instructor was patient, worked at the perfect speed so we could learn (but not be bored). I love now that I have another skill under my belt.
We really want to do pasta making but all of the classes are on Wednesdays at 6, which would be tough to get to from NJ, but we'll definitely be back!
-
Had a fantastic time at the cake decorating class. Loved the way it was set up so that there was interaction with other people. Leader was a doll - knowledgeable, patient and very good at what she does. A lot of fun and I would highly recommend it to others. Thank you!

The teacher was nice and people seemed to enjoy it, but also looked a little bored. The class moved too slowly. Teacher could have gone around and helped anyone who was having trouble, if needed Biggest problem - there were not enough supplies; not enough of the ingredients or the tools. The knives were very dull, so not as fun to use and not as safe.

Great course!!
Awesome instructor!
-
While the instructor was nice, I would not recommend this class to anyone. First, it took place in a crappy bar in midtown in their back room where there was hardly any light. And second, the instructor did not bring enough buttercream for everyone to frost their cakes and decorate—which is the whole point of the class!!! I had to give my frosting to my sister, since this was a present I got for her, so she could at least decorate her cake. She also didn't really make too much of an effort to go around to all of the tables and show them how to do the techniques. For the amount you pay for the class versus what you get out of it, it's not worth it. It was very disappointing.
-
Location/atmosphere was a bit dark
We started late and were in a rush/rushed out to wrap up
We ate undercooked food at the end (rushed to boil dumplings in given timeframe)
Teacher was great but conditions/class pacing made it a 2

My boyfriend and I went for the sushi making class and it was a wonderful experience! We learned how to make all of the rolls! Nicole was very sweet and conducted a wonderful class. The only thing I would say is about the venue. I would have liked to have a better venue where they offered us, as well as Nicole, some sort of incentive like half off of the drinks or something. That would have been nice, but the class itself was very informative!
-
Very nice instructor. Taught exactly what I was looking for. Allowed us to do more sushi making above course allowance. Answered all questions. Very informative

I liked how we got to practice the things prior to decorating on actual cupcakes and it was fun decorating the cupcakes with what we practiced.
-
This cupcake decorating class was very enjoyable this past weekend. Going into it, I really did not know what to expect. Sonia Sweeney was very pleasant instructor who kept everyone engaged. Although we did not offer much feedback in the class, I know I didn't because I was so focused on what she was teaching us and having us do. It was nice how she had us practice the rosettes, spirals and 3 leaves on parchment paper first. It really helped me work out all my kinks before applying it on the final cupcakes. I would definitely recommend my friends to take this class.

Very good class, could have been more organized with more supplies otherwise very good

This was an amazing experience. I got my boyfriend a class for his birthday and he loved this class. We enjoyed making sushi and the instructor was very detailed and a great teacher. Amazing experience I would definitely do it again.

I like the informal personal touch of the lesson.

It was very informative and fun. Great and personable chef.

Very informative instructor. Helpful and light-hearted. Made exceptional fun and enjoyable.

This was awesome. Loved it. I am interested in taking other classes too.

Patrick's texas accent great!
-
Need to create an atmosphere of japanese cuisine (like music and decoration) to let the people have the feeling of making sushi. Plus: great time, super chef who create a warm and fun connection with people. The deal of $20 definitely attractive. The class is awesome. Good idea. Small gift is brilliant idea.
-
Everything was great.
-
-
Liked the instructor and the class. Wish we could have cooked the food ourselves.
-
It was full of energy and fun. No side dish.
-
the technique were useful and easy to follow.
-
I like it all. I recommend a side dish or rice.
-
I loved the teaching method and the place as well. Dumpling turned at the best.
-
The chef was very informative and knowledgeable. Loved how hands on the workshop is, and enjoyed eating what we made.
-
Value is great. I learned applicable skills. Would like to have a special Cocosocial cocktail.
-
i love the simplicity of making the meal, as well as the variety of it. E.g., can use chicken, pork, vegetable, and other.
-
I really enjoyed myself and learned so much. This was great. And the money is not so expensive.
-
I liked the learning how to make dumplings, and the instructor was very good. i wish there was a rice and a soy sauce. Very fun.
-
I liked how there weren't a lot of 'students'. The chef explained how to fold the dumplings and was able to take the time to check on all of us, which was super awesome.
-
This wasn't a cooking class. It was a learn how to fold a dumpling wrapper in a triangle around pre-made stuffing for two hours "class". Not at all worth the $40 per person to be able to eat 6 of the same boiled dumplings in different shapes.
-
i was skeptic at first but it was a great experience. Boyfriend LOVED it, (made a big mess too :)
Now we can impress the family when they come over!!!!
