Liz Starin and Noa Wheeler

Liz Starin is a writer, illustrator and software developer. She studied illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Hochschule fuer Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, Germany. Her books include Roar! written by Tammi Sauer (2015, Simon & Schuster / Paula Wiseman Books), Splashdance (2016, Farrar, Straus & Giroux) and Captain Monty Takes the Plunge written by Jennifer Mook-Sang (2017, Kids Can). Before turning to the creative side of children's books, Liz was a book reviewer for Junior Library Guild. She lives with two cats, three musicians, and thousands of books in Brooklyn, New York. 

Noa Wheeler was on the editorial staff at Henry Holt Books for Young Readers (Macmillan Children's Publishing Group) for ten years. She is the editor of many highly acclaimed books for children and teens, including the New York Times bestselling Grisha Trilogy, Six of Crows, and Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and How It Went Down by Kekla Magoon (a Coretta Scott King Honor book), as well as Flutter and Hum/Aleteo y Zumbido by Julie Paschkis, Woodpecker Wham! by April Pulley Sayre, Arctic White by Danna Smith, and many others. She lives with one cat and thousands of books (but no musicians) in Brooklyn, New York.
