Robbin Moran, Ph.D

Teaches at New York Botanical Garden

Dr. Robbin Moran is the Mary Flagler Cary Curator of Botany at the Garden. He has published four books and over 100 scientific papers about ferns and lycophytes. For his book A Natural History of Ferns, he received the award for Best Writing from the Garden Writer's Association, and for his botanical outreach activities he was given the 2011 Peter H. Raven Award from the American Society of Plant Taxonomists. Robbin serves as the President of the New York Fern Society, which meets at the Garden the first Saturday of every month from October to May.
