Mark Schuyler

Teaches at Textile Arts Center

Mark carries the scars of a thirty-year career in arts administration, crafts management, cordwaining, knitting, leatherwork, needlework and weaving. The healing balms of family and friends hasn't cured him of these magnificent obsessions, so he searches for new adventures of the handmade, avoiding the homemade, whenever possible. He resides in Brooklyn and is a native New Yorker, descended from the consultants hired in 1619 to keep a wary eye on Peter Stuyvestant in New Amsterdam.
