Jess "Jay" Akin holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a BA in Directing from the University of Houston. He is a movement specialist and Shakespearean clown that has studied with some of the top Shakespeare Practitioners and Scholars in the world. Including, but not limited to, Dr. Sidney Berger, Sir Peter Hall, Dr. Felicia Londre as well as Barry Kyle. His style is extremely raw in his approach to performance of the bard with a finesse in the preparation which includes comprehension of text, character analysis and lexicon usage
