Kelley Louise, Executive Director, Travel+SocialGood

A travel entrepreneur passionate about storytelling and social good, Kelley Louise runs two sister organizations: The Culture Collective, a creative agency for brands in the travel and impact space, and a nonprofit, Travel+SocialGood, which is aimed at solving like poverty or inequality through business and leisure travel. She has built her career through carefully selected opportunities in the United States and abroad, including leadership roles in entrepreneurial endeavors, social good projects, and content creation and media strategy.

Kelley is passionate about building the travel industry of the future, one in which mindful travelers bring positive impact to the communities they visit. She believes the potential of the travel industry lies within transforming cities into capitals of sustainable travel, as well as the power of making a difference with simple, everyday actions.


Michal Alter, Co-Founder and CEO, Visit.org


Michal Alter has been working in technology and social development for over 15 years. In 2015 she founded Visit.org, the world's leading platform for social impact travel experiences, combining her love for technology with her dedication to social development.

As one of the first female pilot cadets in the Israeli Air Force and a Computer Science Engineer, Michal worked as Systems Architect at Nuance Communications (Nasdaq: NUAN), and at Risk Modules, both part of the thriving Israeli high tech industry. Her passion for social development began as the Director of Refugee Affairs at the City Government in Tel Aviv, where she led social service delivery and programming to serve 20,000 refugees from Darfur, South Sudan, and Eritrea. After moving to New York, she consulted at various leading nonprofit organizations, including New York Cares, Solar One, UNESCO, and Women’s World Banking.

Michal holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies from Tel Aviv University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion). She speaks English, Spanish, and Hebrew. 


Philippe Lacamp, SVP, Americas, Cathay Pacific Airways

Philippe Lacamp oversees all facets of operations and commercial activities in the Americas, and has been instrumental in leading Cathay Pacific’s CSR and sustainability initiatives in North America. Prior to his current role, Philippe spent five years as Head of Sustainable Development for Swire Pacific and John Swire & Sons, covering a range of industries including aviation, shipping and marine services, property development, beverages, and agri-business. In that role, he established an investment unit investing in biotech companies and also ran Swire Waste Management Ltd, a joint venture operating company within the Swire group.

Prior to Swire Pacific, Philippe worked extensively within the Cathay Pacific Airways Group and has held a wide range of positions within the Swire group. As GM Corporate Risk Management, he was responsible for the development and implementation of a corporate risk management structure for the airline, covering legal, compliance, risk and insurance. During his time in the International Affairs department, he assisted with the negotiations of air services agreements and other industry regulatory issues. Born and educated in the United Kingdom, Philippe graduated from Durham University.

Javier Valdez, Founder, Myght, Inc.

Javier Valdez is a serial entrepreneur and passionate advocate for travel and social impact. He believes thoughtful partnerships with socially conscious organizations, professionals, and travelers have the power to transform the tourism industry into a force for good. Javier founded Myght, Inc. the first travel agency with New York State Benefit Corporation status. The company manages corporate, leisure and cruise travel that focuses on Impact Travel, or socially and environmentally friendly experiences. He recently launched My Impact Host, a full-service travel host agency, which empowers individuals to become fully autonomous, socially-conscious travel consultants and leaders in the responsible travel movement.

While many organizations are focused on creating positive, impactful experiences abroad, Javier is also committed to the change he can create within his immediate community. A percentage of all travel sales supports Youth SEE Innovation (YSI), Myght's youth service club that provides mentorship, professionalism workshops, networking and volunteer opportunities to first generation, inner city college students and young professionals in New York City.

Javier graduated from Arizona State University's Tourism Management and International Business program. Prior to founding his current ventures, Myght, Inc. and My Impact Host, Javier traveled extensively through Europe, Asia and South America and spent 5 years in sales at Hilton Hotels Worldwide, leading corporate social responsibility initiatives within the properties he worked. He has consulted for Hilton Hotels Worldwide, Tourism Cares, and Fathom.org.


Marcos Salazar, Co-Founder + Executive Director, Be Social Change

Marcos Salazar is a social entrepreneur, career + life coach, consultant, speaker, and community builder. His passion is working with professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives to help them pursue work they are passionate about, build authentic personal brands, become financially successful, and create lives that make the world a better place. He does this through 1-on-1 coaching, nonprofit and businesses consulting, and on a larger scale as Co-founder + Executive Director of Be Social Change where he’s built the largest social impact community and professional development hub in New York City. Marcos earned a B.A. in Psychology from Amherst College as well as a Masters in Organizational Management and an Executive Leadership Coaching certificate from The George Washington University.
