Robin Sleith

Teaches at New York Botanical Garden

A native of New Hampshire, Robin Sleith earned his B.S. at Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont, studying the invasive tree pathogen that causes beech bark disease. Robin spent his undergraduate summers in Colorado at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, studying the impact of climate change on high elevation plant communities. After graduation he worked for several years in outreach and education, including time at the Urban Ecology Institute in Boston and Yale University's Map of Life Project. He started working at the New York Botanical Garden in 2010 and began his Ph.D. in 2013. He is broadly interested in aquatic invasive species, freshwater green algal biodiversity and conservation. When not working he enjoys hiking, fishing and skiing.
