What you'll learn in this mechanical engineering course:
This course is designed primarily to assist individuals in preparing for NYC’s Refrigerating Machine Operator licensing examination. Minimal laboratory work is involved. It provides lectures and reviews in the fundamentals of refrigeration equipment. Includes a review of tube and pipe joining, gauges, refrigerant charging, system evacuation and dehydration and analysis of compression of refrigeration cycles.
Field trips included.

Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy
Tuition refunds are issued under the following conditions:
- 95% refund when a written withdrawal notice is received prior to the first class meeting.
- 80% refund if a written notice is received before the second class meeting.
- No refunds are given after the 2nd class meeting.
Please note: For classes less than 200 hours, there is a fee of $25 charged for withdrawals once classes begin.
If you give a withdrawal notice by telephone or otherwise withdraw without written notification, you will not receive a refund.
The school reserves the right to cancel any course or modify the schedule. This can also include cancellation at the first class meeting. In the event of such a cancellation, you will receive a full refund of all tuition and fees.
