In this interactive online certificate course, you’ll develop the skills to communicate complex information through beautiful visualizations. Learn how to create effective graphs and charts directly from professional science journalists, with personal feedback and hands-on instruction.

Prerequisites
- This is an introductory online course; no previous experience is required.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and work with new equipment and software.
- Basic computer literacy.
- A basic understanding of spreadsheets is suggested. This Spreadsheet Tutorial is a good primer.
Requirements
- All participants must have a computer or laptop for use during this course.
- All participants must have access to required software and tools. Please read this prior to registering for course.
- Proficiency in English (instruction is delivered in English).
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing by email to [email protected].
- Cancellations made up to 16 business days prior to the start of the program registered for will receive a refund of all monies less the $275.00 cancellation fee.
- We are unable to refund any fees for registrations canceled within 16 business days of the start of training.
- Failure to appear for the training will result in forfeiture of the full course fee.
We will advise applicants at the earliest opportunity of changes to schedule program. We are not responsible for travel fees, or any expenses incurred as a result of canceled programs.
