Loved it . It was very informative and the teacher answered all of questions!

Max was super patient and attentive to each students needs, including my own. I came in not even knowing what ISO was. Max wasn’t supposed to come outside with us for the shooting portion but he popped out to help me with my first shot and was really patient in doing so. The class was so informative, fun, and rewarding. I met some really awesome new friends as well. I am definitely booking another class to further expand my film/photography skills. Highly suggest. This class was a surprise birthday present from my husband and it was probably the best present he’s ever given me.

Good amount of info, but it really is a crash course. 3 hours is not enough time to practice all of the concepts they discuss. Didn’t love the instructor.. he wasn’t very engaging and when I went up to him after to ask him a question about my camera, he just looked annoyed, and gave me as quick a response to get me out the door. Was a good class for what I paid, but probably won’t be back anytime soon.

It was a really fulfilling and informative class. The amount of time was just the right length to get the hang of basic film developing, and get your money's worth. I'll definitely be back soon!

Teacher was great - engaging and knowledgeable. Would have been great to have more of an opportunity for hands on practice/coaching with different techniques.

Very interesting class on photo composition. I definitely appreciated the slides and the discussions as we examined some examples of paintings and photos.. Interesting to use art examples and not just photos to illustrate the different points. It helped that the instructor had art theory background. My only critique/suggestion would be that I thought instructor would also accompany us during the picture taking exercise.. but then again.. it still works as we're trusted to go on our own and discover and then we discuss in length back in the classroom.. which was done here..
I would definitely recommend the class to anyone wanting to learn theory behind photo composition..
*One question.. is it possible to get copy of the power point presentation from the class? I was jotting down some of the artist names and paintings but def missed some. would like to have that so I can look up online..
Thx

Sally is remarkable in her skills (decade + of photography experience and education), her teaching abilities (excellent slides, examples, real world situations, and practice), and her humor (a bonus). This class was picture perfect.

The instructor was really good and knowledgeable. But I didn't feel that I really knew my camera THAT much more than I did before. Also the space wasn't great. Too small, hot, and hard to find. I enjoyed the class and will definitely take another one. I was just hoping for more.

Very thorough and clear intro to using a digital camera. Came away with lots of new approaches to shooting!

Interesting class. Lots of engagement, and great feedback from the assignments on the day.

Like so many people, I have wanted to get into photography and off of "full auto" mode for so long, but have always found excuses to put it off for another day. This class was exactly the jump start I needed. Even though everything we learned can be summed up on one sheet of paper, the class developed those fundamental concepts very well so that they now feel intuitive. I think achieving the same level of intuition for the things we learned would have taken me twice as long if I had tried to teach myself using books or online sources (and, at the rate I was going, probably spread out over five years!). The class was also very fairly priced. After putting in some practice myself, I definitely plan to enroll in another class with this company.

Teacher was super helpful, and willing to thoroughly explain all questions. You’re able to take this class even if you’ve never been in a darkroom before.
-
Learned a lot in a short period of time but it never felt rushed or overwhelming. Had a great time and loved the teacher!
-
The class was exactly what I needed to go from auto to manual mode. Money well spent.
-
Great introductory course. We covered a lot without it being overwhelming. Instructor was knowledgeable, good teacher and answered all questions.
-
I really enjoyed the class! Learned all of the basics and feel like I walked away understanding how to take pictures with my camera. The instructor was ao nice and funny too. The time went by quickly!

V good teacher, great intro on when to use what shutter speed & aperture

Charles is a fabulous teacher, calmly and coolly walking and talking us through some pretty complex, arcane stuff. He did an excellent job of telling us how our cameras work and then allowing us to experiment with the concepts we learned in the class to reinforce the concepts we learned. This is the photography class I've been looking for for years.
