What you'll learn in this crafts class:

Enjoy drinks in style with glasses you designed. Join our glass etching class and learn to master this amazing technique.

In this class you get to unleash your inner artist and decorate glasses just the way you like them. Perfect to liven up your home or give as a gift.

This class is beginner-friendly; no experience necessary!

A certified JamMaster, will show you:
  • How to make creative and cool designs on glass.
  • How to create stencils with an x-acto knife and a cutting board.
  • How to transfer designs permanently on glass using etching creme.
Before the class
We encourage you to brainstorm and print out any ideas you have for your glasses. We suggest simple silhouettes, something that would be easy for you to cut out multiple times.

The glasses are 4" tall, so keep the designs around the 2" to 3" range. You get 4 glasses as your canvases so consider whether you want to make a set or 4 individual glasses. Find inspiration from our Glass Etching Pinterest board and printable silhouette gallery.

We will supply some silhouettes at the class as well so don't fret if you don't have time to print. You are also free to draw your of original designs free hand!

School Notes:
We are BYOB friendly! Crafting is paired best with your favorite drink of choice! But, you must be 21 or over. Younger? Just have a mocktail. No one will notice ;)

Question from Alison D.
Can we bring food?
Answer from Jenn C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi! Yes, students are welcome to bring food and drinks to this course! The school recommends, though, to finish proper meals before the workshop starts, and you're welcome to eat it on their premise. We hope you understand food stains and smell can make a less good experience for attendees. Snacking while crafting is no problem!

Teacher was wonderful. There was a slight communication about start time but other than that I loved working on the craft.

I cannot tell you how much this class exceeded my expectations. Olivia is an incredible instructor. So positive and upbeat, makes you feel like you can do anything. Even though it was brand new and a bit difficult at first, I never once thought that I may not have a fantastic finished product at the end of class. And Chris her assistant was lovely. Also very supportive and knowledgeable. Was such a fun three hours. Have already told all my friends about it. Couldn’t do anything to improve the class, in my opinion. Can’t wait to get my supplies and start etching! Thank you!!!!
