What you'll learn in this culinary (meals) class:

Unleash your inner ninja turtle at this handmade pizza party!

In this class you’ll learn how to make pizza from scratch, from choosing the best flours to selecting the perfect topping combinations to mastering the secrets to a crisp, bubbly crust. We will make one of Italy's well known pizzas, Pizza Margherita.

It is a typical Neapolitan pizza, made with tomatoes, mozzarella , fresh basil, salt and extra-virgin olive oil. You’ll also learn a bit of pizza history, including its early beginnings, regional pizza variations in Italy and some other tidbits. Then we eat!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing). You will work with other students in groups of 2-4.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Note:
We use ingredients that are easy to find at local markets and equipment available in every home kitchen!

Question from Joniele W.
Hello is this a hands on class? I've been to a CocuSocial class where I have just stood in the back and want to avoid that again. Thank you
Answer from Georgia C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hey Probal, yes.
Answer from Carolyn A. Verified Student
Yes! However, note that everyone works in pairs, so unless you want to be paired up with a random person, I recommend you bring a friend. I was paired with a random person because our group was an odd number, which was fine, but you're creating and sharing a pizza with them and that can be difficult if you have different tastes or don't get along.

I thought this glass was good overall. I was disappointed to pay for 2 tickets but yet only make one pizza. They should have made mini pies so everyone could make one and fully participate. The teacher was great though.

I didn't love the instructor. She was kind of rigid. The pizza was fine-nothing special. My parents had fun since this was a holiday gift.

Class is too big for one instructor. Need more explanation in details and know how! Didn't get to see the oven baking part.
