This course takes your CSS skills further by introducing more advanced styling techniques and smarter ways to target and control elements on the page. You'll move past the basics to produce cleaner layouts, richer visuals, and more adaptable designs.
You'll learn how to manage layouts with the border-box model, work with SVG graphics, and build visual effects like gradients, shadows, and transparent colors using RGBA. Along the way, you'll sharpen your grasp of positioning through relative, absolute, and fixed values, put advanced CSS selectors to work, and take advantage of CSS variables. The course also covers refining layouts with responsive images using media queries, img srcset, and the picture element. It builds on foundational HTML and CSS skills and serves as the next step in the web design and web development bootcamp sequence.
