It was a really good introductory course with a great instructor! Wanting to explore options for addressing persistent spoken-voice issues, I took a chance and signed up for the Linklater Voice & Feldenkrais Workshop. My expectations were low, but my mind was open. I am so happy I took the chance. The instructor, Tamala Bakkensen, was wonderful. She immediately connected with the class as a whole and with each student individually. Her knowledge of the Linklater/Feldenkrais methods was impressive as was her ability to bring those methods to life without overintellectualizing the process. I highly recommend this course!

Nice intro to Linklater technique. Felt like a very safe space to experiment and explore. Would have loved it more if I felt more prepared to lead myself through structured exercises and warmups.

Benjamin is a solid instructor and has great energy. The class was less technical than I expected but was enjoyable nevertheless.

Great class to elasticize and free your jaw, tongue and larynx of tensions. It really helps to prepare for an audition or a show or just to maintain strong vocal performance.

This was an outstanding class. Tamela is one of the best instructors I've ever had for Voice and Feldenkrais. It was an honor to work with her. If you ever get the opportunity to take this class, do it! The transformation you will experience is nothing short of amazing. I give it my strongest endorsement.

This was an outstanding class. I never imagined that I would get as much out of it as I did. Tamala is one of the best movement and voice instructors I've ever trained with. She gives thoughtful and insightful feedback and encourages her students every step of the way. She creates a safe and nurturing environment for her students to take risks without the fear of being berated or criticized. She is patient, kind, and passionate about the craft of acting. Tamara is a rare gem. I cannot recommend her class strongly enough.
  • Voice and Shakespeare Workshop

This is an amazing class for actors and even as a non-actor, which I am, but learned so much about breath work, warming up your voice and body to get it every part of you ready to perform be it on stage or making a speech. The best part of the class is instructor, Andrea Haring, who does a terrific job explaining and leading you through what at first appears complicated warm ups. Her discourse on Shakespeare is astonishing and will give you a deeper appreciation for his works and why they are still relevant for today and all time. I cannot recommend this course with Andrea enough and watching her work with the actors in the course.
