This self-paced Power BI course takes you from the fundamentals of data analysis to advanced reporting and data modeling skills. As you progress through the curriculum, you’ll learn how to connect to real-world data sources, clean and transform raw data, and create interactive dashboards that help turn information into clear business insights.
You’ll also go beyond the basics by working with DAX formulas, relational data models, and advanced reporting features used in professional environments. Throughout the course, you’ll build skills in creating measures and calculated columns, managing filter flow and relationships, implementing Row-Level Security, and publishing dashboards in the Power BI Service.
What You Will Learn
- Import and clean data from Excel, CSV, and other sources using Power Query, then design polished reports with charts, maps, cards, and slicers
- Create measures, calculated columns, and custom aggregations to unlock deeper analytical capabilities in your reports
- Master table relationships, cardinality, cross-filter direction, and filter flow to build dynamic, filterable reports that are free of common modeling mistakes
- Create reusable fiscal and calendar date tables to power time-based analysis and comparisons across your reports
- Control who sees what data using both static and dynamic security roles, ensuring your reports are enterprise-ready
- Set up dashboards in the Power BI Service, schedule data refreshes, manage reusable datasets, and collaborate with stakeholders across your organization
