Great teacher very informative would take another one of her classes. Also great for networking!
Class was great and I'm excited to try my pants. Joan (Instructor) was very helpful and informative.
The classroom was super hot and the humidity was stifling. There was a class before ours, students were always reluctant to leave the classroom.
Kate is a great instructor. Her assignments and exercises really bring the most out of her students. She understands the industry/topic well and brings guest speakers into the class to complement her expertise. A must-take for anyone interested in changing the fashion industry or ethical business practices.
The instructor Walter Atkinson always seemed unprepared and unorganized. Very flustered. He could not control the class when people started talking amongst themselves. There needed to be at least one Teacher's Assistant to help people moving slower than others. Maybe even two TAs would have been helpful. We only had a TA on the first day; then she never came back. Walter moved way too fast on day three and about half the class fell majorly behind, but he kept on going and more and more people started getting frustrated and confused. The class should have been smaller; perhaps half the size it was so that more time is alotted for undivided attention and one-on-one interaction with the teacher. Walter had trouble staying on topic during each class. He would start talking about his apartment, his other jobs, his hobbies, and all sorts of topics that were completely unrelated to SketchUp Pro. Then he would try to convince us to come to his studio in Cobble Hill Brooklyn to take private lessons. He was always trying to sell us something. Convince us to spend our money on him, which I would never do in the future. I feel a better teacher would have made me more successful in this course.
Could have used better organization in presentation and course content could have been covered in ONE session. Was expecting more "functional" instruction and how to best use of existing social platforms for business. Presenter was great.
Great class, so helpful. The instructor was fabulous and had a great deal of knowledge on the subject. I would love to take a class with her again.
Great class for a refresher. I highly recommend this class to those with experience in AutoCAD and in need to refresh their skills at an intermediate level.
It was good for the time allotted. I'm pretty sure if we had an extra hour we could've gone deeper into the nature of fabrics. I'd recommend this class for a person transitioning into fashion from a completely different career.
I took this class with Chris Papas and it was very well taught. Chris was a great teacher and was able to teach us a lot in just 4 classes. Every student learns at a different rate a chris was very mindful of that making sure everyone learned the lesson before moving on but still keeping those more advanced busy with other activities that they could do in order to practice their skills while waiting. I will be registering for another class with Chris for sure.
