David Licata

Teaches at Newmark Graduate School of Journalism

David Licata is a glass artist from New York. He is a graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art with a MFA in metalsmithing and BFA in Sculpture from SUNY New Paltz. From wearable chain maile to interactive nature based sculptures, his intricate torchworked glass works of art have been exhibited at SOFA NY, Chicago, Glass weekend, Talente and Laura Donefer’s Glass Fashion shows. David has taught at all levels including high school art and various glass workshops at craft centers such as Peters Valley, the Brookfield Craft Center, Silvermine and Penland.
