Diana Buitrago
Diana Buitrago (b. 1986) graduated from the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, Colombia with a degree in International Relations. A strong desire to follow her passion for painting led her to move to the United States where she earned a four year Certificate in Painting at the Art Student’s League of New York. While attending the ASL, Diana studied with several instructors such as Michael Grimaldi, Dan Thompson and Jon DeMartin who further fueled her interest in academic drawing and painting. Upon Diana’s completion of the ASL program in 2014, she joined the Artistic Anatomy Class led by Michael Grimaldi at Drexel University’s School of Medicine. Diana also enrolled in drawing classes at John DeMartin’s private studio in Port Chester, NY before being accepted into Grand Central Atelier’s Core Program where she is currently completing her fourth year of study.
Diana is a two-time Hudson River Fellow and a 2018 recipient of La Napoule Art Foundation/Grand Central Atelier’s Fellowship for Landscape Painting as well as a 2017 recipient of Grand Central Atelier’s Painting Prix. She is also a recipient of the 2013 George A. Rada Memorial Scholarship in the category of Realism at the Art Student’s League of New York.

Dale Zinkowski
Dale Zinkowski (b. 1975) currently lives and works in New York. Upon graduating from The School of Visual Arts (BFA), his influence from the traditions of the past masters brought him to the Southwest where he studied with John F. Murray. After 3 years of study in Arizona, he went on to Florence, Italy, keeping a studio, and studying for 1 year at the Florence Academy of Art. The search for truth and knowledge led him back to New York City to study with Jacob Collins at the Grand Central Atelier, where Dale completed the Atelier’s four-year core program.
Dale teaches painting in GCA’s Core Program.
