Xavier was born in New York City and raised mostly in Puerto Rico. He is a classically trained ballet dancer who studied at Julian E. Blanco School of Classical Ballet, and was a member of Ballet Classico, Ballet de San Juan and the School of American Ballet in New York. He has been a certified ZUMBA® instuctor for more than 3 years (he is also a certified ballroom instructor).
