Emily Buck

Emily Buck is a dreamer, a avid reader, and incurable optimist. She began practicing yoga as a teenager when a dance injury sidelined her, and has been doing so every since. After majoring in drama at NYU and working as an actor for a bit, Emily realized that she was more interested in teaching yoga than acting, and did her training at Yogaworks NYC. Since then, she has taught at gyms around Manhattan and Brooklyn as well as classes at Stella Adler, and NYU Polytechnic. Emily also teaches yoga to underserved children, and is the manager and founder of Spring Into Yoga, a community yoga nonprofit organization. Her classes promote awareness of your body, breath, and mind, as well as working on movement specifically coordinated with the breath. Her dream is that her students learn so much about themselves, and the world around them, that they become the best self-teachers they can be. "Be the change you want to see in the world"- Gandhi
